Cam Kim Island Discovery Tour Itinerary
To begin your exploration of Cam Kim Island, our dedicated tour guide will arrive at your hotel in Hoi An at 7:30 AM to pick you up. We will also provide bicycles and have them ready for your use. Furthermore, each guest will be equipped with safety gear, such as helmets, to ensure their safety.
If you require child seats or a smaller vehicle, please notify us in advance so we can make the necessary preparations. Once you’re seated, we’ll officially begin our exploration of Cam Kim Island. Along the way, we’ll pass through many beautiful country roads, covered with vast green rice fields.
If visitors wish, we can stop the car and take some photos as souvenirs. We will continue our Cam Kim Discovery journey, heading to our first destination, Dong Binh Mat village. This village is famous for its colorful straw sleeping mats. Visitors can learn how to make their own mat.
The artisans here will show visitors how to create a perfectly shaped mat. Afterwards, we will move to a local’s house to learn how to make rice paper. At the artisan’s house, visitors can create their own rice paper and enjoy it after it’s finished.
The next stop is for those who enjoy alcohol: the home of a traditional rice winemaker. Rice winemaking is a traditional occupation, and visitors can experience the process of creating these precious drops of rice wine. Visitors can also sample some of the freshly brewed wine if they wish.
Continuing the Cam Kim Island Discovery Tour, visitors will arrive at Kim Bong Carpentry Village. Perhaps feeling tired after the long bike ride, we’ll stop at a riverside hut for a rest. Alternatively, visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee here before continuing their journey.
If you’re lucky, during your break, you might see artisans crafting boats. After resting, we’ll visit an artisan’s workshop and observe the handcrafted products.
Tourists can also purchase some wooden souvenirs, such as statues or toys, if they wish. Especially if tourists book the Cam Kim Island Cycling Tour, visitors can experience traveling by sampan boat on the Thu Bon River. You will have the opportunity to observe a day in the life of the local fishermen.
Finally, visitors will experience the last activity of today’s tour: learning to make lanterns. Of course, a local artisan will guide and assist visitors throughout the process. Visitors can take their finished product as a souvenir or purchase pre-made lanterns here.
And that’s our final stop; we’ll cycle back to Hoi An. Once we arrive in Hoi An, everyone will enjoy a delicious sandwich to replenish their energy after a long day of cycling. We’ll then return to our hotel or homestay, marking the end of the Cam Kim Island Discovery Tour.
Hoi An Private Car hopes that you had a wonderful experience using our services. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the future. If you have any needs, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
